Grand Bazaar
Istanbul
Watercolor & Ink on 12x12” Cotton Rag
This piece comes from my own time walking through the Grand Bazaar, a place where color and history are woven into every corner. Its arches, vaulted ceilings, and winding corridors frame a space that has been shaped by centuries of trade and overlapping cultures. What stood out most was how alive it feels: the rich tones of the stalls, the textures, the movement, and the sense that generations have passed through the same pathways. Working on this piece let me revisit that mix of structure, energy, and lived history, and capture a small part of what makes the bazaar so layered and unforgettable
