Interpretive Map of Palestine

12x18” · Ink with Monotone Wash on Cotton Rag

This piece is a tribute to Palestine, hand-sketched in ink with a wash of monotone color to highlight its thirteen historical districts and key landmarks. Sites such as the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, Masjid al-Omari in Nablus, Masjid al-Khalil (Hebron), Hisham’s Palace in Jericho, and Qasr al-Basha in Gaza are rendered with careful detail. Some landmarks have been lost or destroyed over time, and the map honors their memory and the stories they carry.

The sketch conveys the richness of Palestinian culture, its layered history, and enduring spirit, preserving a visual record of its heritage through line and subtle tone
