Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
Abu Dhabi
Watercolor & Ink on 8x10” Cotton Rag
Walking into the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, I was immediately struck by the contrast between the vast white marble surfaces and the colorful floral mosaics that decorate the floors and walls. The domes and minarets rise with clean, strong lines, while the intricate patterns bring a surprising warmth and detail. I wanted to capture both the scale of the space and the careful craftsmanship in watercolor and ink, highlighting how the architectural structure and decorative elements work together to create a place that feels both grand and thoughtfully designed
